ARC FURNACE CABLES

I²r provides comprehensive services for all designs of EAF, VAR, ESR, and ARC melting water-cooled furnace power cables. Our expert services consist of new design, repair, recover, rebuild, and replacement of, large, specifically constructed water-cooled cables. We work with the customers and Original Equipment Manufacturers (O.E.M.’s) to optimize existing designs for both aftermarket and new applications. Our experience with many different O.E.M. cable and terminal designs provides us with the ability to address all manufacturers and designers.
If your Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) is still employing air-cooled power cables allow us to evaluate your system, at no charge or obligation, to determine if a water-cooled design will enable your (EAF) to operate with reduced line losses, reduced weight, and lower costs.

ARC FURNACE DOOR CABLE COVER HOSE

hose is made of Non-Conductive rubber compounds, having a bonded spiral wrap
layer of heavy Fiberglass fabric, providing for added thermal protection.
The non-conductive qualities combined with the thermal qualities make this
hose ideal for both coolant conveying in high heat areas, as well as covering
for water-cooled electric furnace cables used in foundries, steel mills, and
various metal casters. |

withstand extreme heat (1000°F) from exterior ambient
heat sources |
| Construction: The tube consists of SBR (Styrene-Butadiene Rubber)
non-conductive synthetic and high wear rubbers compounded for good abrasive
resistance. The inner tubes are reinforced by multiple plies of a polyester
tie cord. The thermal cover consists white fiberglass fabric. |
