KEVLAR SLEEVINGview info
Kevlar is a soft, flexible sleeving used to bundle and / or protect wires, hoses, and cables from extreme environmental conditions. Kevlar is braided from aramid fibers and has a unique combination of durability, pliability, and high tensile strength. Kevlar has excellent thermal stability permitting long term uses at temperatures between 160°C / 320°F without significant strength loss. There are multiple attributes that contribute to the strength of Kevlar. Kevlar is a polymer containing aromatic and amide molecular groups. When the molten Kevlar is spun into fibers, the polymers have a crystalline arrangement, with the polymer chains oriented parallel to the fiber's axis. The amide groups are able to form hydrogen bonds between the polymer chains, which act like glue holding the separate polymer chains together.

POWER JACKET™ SLEEVINGview info
Power Jacket Sleeving is a knitted glass fiber coated with a silicone rubber which keeps the fiberglass fiber dry and intact to maintain insulation values. The type of knitting used in this sleeving allows for some elasticity which lends to improved bending and flexing. The silicone rubber is heavily loaded with iron oxide to improve its heat resistance over that of other colors. Power Sleeve is capable of withstanding temperatures with continuous exposure from -65°F to 500°F and short term exposure to 2,000°F for 8-10 minutes and 3,000°F for 30-45 seconds. Unlimited shelve life. Stands up well against oils, fuels, and heat transfer fluids. Power sleeve is best utilized on power cables, Pendent controls, Hydraulic lines, or any other cable that has exposure to molten metal splash. Power sleeve is available from ¼” to 4” I.D. in 100’ lengths. This product is in compliance with SAE Aerospace standard 1072D.

We also provide customized Velcro Power Jacket Sleeves, Blankets, and specialty thermal coverings. Please contact the factory for specific application.

Power Jacket Sleeving Technical Specifications
Power Jacket sleeving is designed to protect hoses, power cables, wires, hydraulic lines, crane pendent wires, and other cables from the hazards of high heat and occasional flame. It protects continuously to 260°C / 500°F and will be able to withstand a molten splash at 1200°C / 2200°F. Made of knitted fiberglass yarns in a flexible substrate, then it is coated with a high grade silicone rubber.
Resistant to hydraulic fluids, lubricating oils, and fuels, Power jacket insulates against energy loss in piping and hosing: protects employees from burns and allows "bundling" of wires, hoses, cables. This is the perfect cover to protect hydraulic hoses, pneumatic lines and wiring bundles.
